Redskins Injury Update: Colt McCoy is still in a cast and using crutches

Colt is still in a cast and on crutches . Not good for people who think he starts opening day

Those lower leg breaks take time and their is no promise you ever get back to the player you were before. I have said several times whether talking about Smith or McCoy that my nephew broke his lower leg and had to have a rod inserted in the bone. He never played another down of college football.

I wish McCoy the best, but this might actually be a blessing in disguise. Redskins really need to move on at the QB position & fans need to stop clinging to false hope. Find their QB for the future during this draft or the next one & use Keenum as the stopgap. McCoy was never really the long term answer & his aggressive nature is a problem even if he is 100% healthy.

I am not sure I buy this but this is the “ official “ story
