With the SEC expanding to 16 does the Big 10 go after OU and Kansas, Or will they go Pac12??

I think BIG might go after OU but they really don't fit in academically or geographically. Also OU isnt AAU. I know we aren't now but were when we agreed to join.

the big 10 should go get OU and OKie st. ahh hell just get ku and kst as well

I think maybe OU but I am not sure if we could get OU without having to take Okie St and I just dont see as much interest in Okie St, I dont see any way the BIG would take KU or K-state

I think OU, Okie Lite and Kansas. MAYBE Iowa State.... they could have Indiana as a rivalry.

Same as before but no way on Iowa State. If they Big 12 falls apart. Iowa State is gonna get the worst of it because they are bad in football and dont have basketball like Kansas and K-state does.

Texas AD DeLoss Dodds says after B12 AD meeting, he doesn't know if A&M's leaving, said "everyone wants them to stay."

Of course everyone wants A&M to stay. *The one thing Dodds forgets is that if A&M doesn't want to stay then it doesn't matter what "everyone" else wants.

Yep. Of course they want that. They aren't gonna get a better deal anywhere else. I mean they have complete control right now and there is no way they will have that anywhere else. They have 9 teams sucking off Texas right now and if A&m leaves the rest will just keep doing the same.

If ESPN's sources have it right with Mizzou in the hunt for "the other team" in SECeding from the Big12, will Mizzou maybe pull a Texas and use that as bait for a Big10 invite? and by "pull a Texas" I mean whorning yourself to several conferences to find the best offer...

Who knows? But I think Missouri is a better fit in Big10 than in SEC.

Missouri doesn't hold that kind of cache to act like Texas and do that. They would much rather go to the Big 10 than the SEC though.

The only probelm with any of the Big XII schools going to the Pac12 is that they would be following Colorado. Does any school really want to follow Colorado anywhere?

Now that's funny.

I agree. Mizzou would be a better fit for the Big10. The only question is, who would be the other team?

Friday on Huskers sports network (radio); they said the SEC has in their rules/laws that no 2 schools from the same state can be in/join the SEC. Therefore Florida St, Georgia Tech and Clemson can NOT join the SEC. With Florida, Georgia and S. Carolina in the SEC the schools mentioned above are ineligible.

NPSE is full of "SHIAT" unless the SEC revokes or amends the rule...

It's going to be interesting to say the least...

They already have two schools from Alabama, Mississippi, and Tennessee but maybe that rule was added later on. And I am guessing those thing schools don't want another team in their state bc of the recruiting implications. It is definetly gonna get interesting. :pop2:

A high ranking SEC official called today's statement a way to "tap the brakes" so the Texas A&M can "get its house in order."

I will quote this blog:
Legal maneuvering at hand in Aggies’ plans for SEC | Aggies | a Chron.com blog

My understanding is this is simply part of the (convoluted) legal process of A&M bolting the Big 12 for the SEC — that it must be documented that A&M courted the SEC, not vice versa, to avoid potential lawsuits - Brent Zwerneman

Knowing that the SEC doesn't have a footprint in Texas (and I'm guessing they would LOVE to have one) I tend to agree with the statement above: its just a matter of time. I think that if the SEC could land a VT, then I think they should think twice and grab the Oklahoma two-pack (if its available)

None of these scenarios are based on anything other then what I'm reading online (blogs, newspapers, ESPN, etc...) and we all know that everything you read online is true, right?

All kidding aside, Kansas, KState, IowaSt and possibly Mizzou may want to test the waters and see how attractive they are to other leagues....

The problem KU and K St have for the conf you mention is that in Basketball it is no where near a match for them. They would be better in either the B10, Pac12 or out on an east coast conf with Duke, Kentucky or N. Carolina.

And OU would be a good fit for College Football and the B10 to come here.
