Best waiver pick up of all time?

It may not be at the top, but Martin St.Louis being claimed by the Lightning has to be one the best waiver claim in NHL history. A move I don't think Craig "I'm a genius" Button will ever be forgiven for in Calgary

The Detroit got Kris Draper from the Winnipeg Jets in 1993 for $1 (I wonder if it was an American or Canadian Dollar). I think it was a trade though.

I've got to give the nod to St. Louis right now. I know Briere was put on waivers once. I don't think any team picked him up though.

why would Bryzgalov even be in the same category? Draper wasnt a waiver pick up so he doesnt count. Bryzgalov has done nothing in the league. Yes hes a good goalie but Grabner would be a better waiver pick up than him at this point.

St. Louis was never even supposed to get a cup of coffee in the NHL. Undrafted and even in Calgary looked to be nothing more than a plug. Gotta be a fan of a guy like that.
