Purists would say MWC


Fanatics would say MST3K



Toughest category for me. MASH is legendary. Married With Children changed everything and Al is a top 5 character of all time.


MST3K is a personal fave, that I think is vastly underrated and maybe the greatest "Cult" TV show of all time.

It was definitely a choice between MWC and MST3K for me. I've never watched MASH so I can't say anything about it one way or the other. Both MWC and MST3K still hold up well today. But I have to give the nod to MWC just because it was a show that helped launch FOX into main network category so it had more of an overall impact.

The Mary Tyler Moore Show was far superior to the 3 shows in this runoff in every way, be it writing, acting, humor, storylines, etc. WHile I like watching MWC late at night, every episode was the same as they relied on only 2 things, those being Al's insults and sexy women. There were no storylines and the production values sucked big time. MASH was much better, but still didn't measure up to MTM. As far as MST3K, I enjoyed it but, really, to be mentioned in a best show competition, come on man!

Just putting this here for posterity:

In the letter M category...a show that's (at least hopefully anyway) going to be reckoned with and recognized for a long time, imho, for it's great writing, acting, camerawork, scene/set locations, relevance, veracity...etc...basically the whole 9.... is a new series just finishing it's debut season about a month or 2 ago,and will be continuing in the spring/summer of 2016....

I agree with this, though MWC was supposed to be over the top and caricaturish. It made me laugh... a lot. MASH was great for a few years but it lost the funny about halfway through it's run. I've only watched MST3K once or twice. Went with MASH.
