You have to use your imagination a little and pretend your iphone is broken, you have no way to listen to music except on the radio. I'm looking for songs that are 3 1/2 to 4 1/2 minutes long, where if you are lucky enough to hear them from the very beginning you instinctively turn up the volume, but if you are flipping through the stations and catch them in the middle you still listen but almost wish you hadn't stumbled across them because you missed the beginning.
1. Sweet Child O Mine, Guns and Roses - if you catch it at the very beginning with that guitar and don't turn it up, you are probably not American.
1a. Sweet Home Alabama, Lynyrd Skynyrd - I mean, if you listen closely at the beginning the guy even tells you to "turn it up"
Boston - I'll just list the band because they have a lot of songs with great openings -Peace of Mind,Don't Look Back.....
Casey Jones, Grateful Dead - I like the studio version where you hear the guy doing a line at the very beginning. That amuses me for some reason.
The Warrior, Scandal - this one is more obscure but it was really popular for a few months in the mid 80's. They play it at the beginning of the Netflix show GLOW.
