Best offense: 13 Baylor
Best defense: 11 Alabama
Best offensive player: Reggie Bush
Best defensive player: Ndamukong Suh

Well, that would be Kellen Moore, well, OK, 50-3 with those 3 losses (all to top 20 teams) by a grand total of 5 points after in each case he had led the field down the field for a winning field goal (too bad Boise didn't have a good enough kicker). Boise State had the best winning percentage in the era, and never lost a BCS game.
