I know I will sound like a homer but The Miller is great at controlling rebounds.
Telekinesis.

Its based on a number of games played Tox, and since the Flyers had 3 different starting goalies nobody really had that many games played.
Here's the list of goalies that played a minimum of 45 games.
So what.......I skimmed the post......fucking sue me.
ouch. just freakin' ouch.I was wondering about that, too. Does the team in front of him affect a goalie's SP more while SH than at ES? If so, why?
Also discovered that Luongo may not be a very good goalie when his team's shorthanded.
2009-10: 12th amongst starters at ES, 23rd while shorthanded.
2008-09: 2nd amongst starters at ES, 21st while shorthanded.
2007-08: 6th amongst starters at ES, 17th while shorthanded.
Also, Luongo's SHS% last year was .860, Raycroft's SHS% was .896.
Just don't tell puckhead about this.
*points to nose* Panther fans called him Roberto Reboundo. I don't think it's quite THAT bad, but he's definitely much stronger on the first shot. Hopefully Hamhuis / Ballard will help keep the front of the net a bit clearer next season. That was Chicago's game plan against him (and it sure as hell worked)... crash the net with the puck, it'll bounce out somewhere.I wonder how much of that has to do with Luongo's rebound control. Any time I talk to a Canuck fan, that's the general consensus; the guy is a real good goalie who lets up a ton of rebounds. That might be fine during 5 on 5 play when there isn't as much pressure, but when shorthanded a good rebound is almost as valuable as a penalty shot.
I miss Blake Lively's titsQ, that avatar is distracting, what did you say again?

I know I will sound like a homer but The Miller is great at controlling rebounds. Not too many rebounds come off of those pads.
Brodeur is great at rebound control, but in a different way. He basically directs where the rebounds are going so that they go to safer areas, almost like he's passing the puck. He also said he's not a fan of wearing the giant padding because often times if you can't see the puck you need to be able to feel it and smaller pads help with that.
Also Lundqvist is a complete animal when it comes to rebound control.
I do agree that these numbers are more team related than goaltender related.
That's why I like goalies like Brodeur and Miller, both of them wear smaller pads (in fact Miller has said they should restrict the size). I want to see a guy that can play in goal and not just be a huge obstacle like a few that will go nameless.
As far as I'm concerned, they're all pussies. I play goal in 30" leg pads, and I'm north of 6-1.
Granted, I have also suffered a near crippling knee injury because of a slapshot that hit me above the pad while in the butterfly position.
But that's neither here nor there...
