I think it really revolutionized goalie mask designs. Really was the most perfect mask for its time IMO.

I remember during the Winter Classic, MAF had a mask similar to that of Michel Dion,



Thought that was a really cool mask as well.

Gerry "Cheesy" Cheevers' mask from 20 or more years ago.

All white except for black marks where he would have needed stitches if he played without a mask.
Simple, but unforgettable whether you're a Bruins fan or not.

Cheevers's nickname, BTW, came from being fond of all kinds of cheese, and eating some before
every game. Frequently more after games.

Yeah, it has a simple design but also sends the message about how tough it is to be a goalie.

agreed. most customizable piece of a uniform in all of sports and they didnt really do much w/ it.

I think the best current mask belongs to Jonathan Quick. Would've been to easy too put a crown on his mask, but he chose to be a knight, Sir Lance-a-Lot style, the protector of the kingdom. Very humbling and also commands a great deal of respect. Also appreciate the simplicity of the design,
