OK, with the SB over we now start the off season and that means free agency.

Here's a link to a team by team break down.

2014 NFL free agents by team - NFL.com

So...looking over the list....who do you not want to lose from your team?

Who are the best FA's out there for thier position?

Seattle needs to lock up Michael Bennett. He doesn't get the coverage the lob gets but he's the most important Dlineman they had this year.

Cardinals would be foolish to not re-sign Dansby and Feely.

I'm hoping the 9ers keep Boldin and possibly Dawson. The others can walk IMO.

Let's wait till tags are handed out. Its not even fun to do what if's at this point because you're basically grasping for stuff that won't be there

But if I read the whole post and get the real question I dont want to lose Sam shields, Starks, Jones, Quarless , Kuhn or Flynn

Hopefully he commands one of those high dollar Charles Johnson type of contracts

Here are Pittsburgh's...

Jonathan Dwyer, RB
Felix Jones, RB
LaRod Stephens-Howling, RB
Plaxico Burress, WR
Jerricho Cotchery, WR
Emmanuel Sanders, WR
David Johnson, TE
Michael Palmer, TE
Rashad Butler, OL
Guy Whimper, OL
Fernando Velasco, OL
Cody Wallace, OL
Brett Keisel, DE
Ziggy Hood, DT
Al Woods, DT
Jamaal Westerman, LB
Jason Worilds, LB
Stevenson Sylvester, LB
Ryan Clark, S
Mat McBriar, P

Most of these we can afford to lose but the guys on defense I'd like to keep are Hood, Clark and Worilds. Offense I'd like to keep Sanders and Jericho.

Do you think that Finley is worth a long term contract? I the other day I read that he's eyeing Seattle which would be nice but he just cant stay on the field.

We have one of those as well in Pouncey. He's a great center but has yet to complete a full season.

It's kind of a catch .22. He's GREAT when he's on the field but he's often injured so it doesn't help much.

The problem is I don't think anybody knows at this point. He's shown flashes but hasn't been able to maintain an elite level of play / stay healthy. I'm pretty sure the Packers will let him walk and I'd doubt Seattle would be in any position to sign him to a long term contract. They're at the point that they need to start worrying about future cap concerns, too. That said, the Packers are definitely a worse team without him. He's a good player... probably just not worth what he's going to get paid.

First nobody knows if he'll be cleared to play from the neck injury. He was just starting to play like we expected and he sustained a major injury, again. He hasn't stayed on the field, and when he has, he hasn't shown consistency on the field either.

I've been excited for him and wanted him gone too. At this point I think its just as likely he gets a smaller incentive laden deal from GB as anyone else. I think GB can "win" that battle with other teams because Finley knows the offense and Rodgers likes to throw him the ball. GB gets his services for another year, and Finley gets his best chance to put up big numbers and prove he is healthy to the rest of the league for a big contract somewhere else.

I'm not sure anyone else takes that big of chance on the contract he's going to want long term.
