Yeah, he's such a great TE that the school he went to didn't use him.

Do you hear what the fuck you are even saying?

Whatever you want to believe man.

I am pretty much okay with our draft. It will not help us win because it didn't replace Dalton, but the personnel I am good with outside QB.

As for Kroft, if he can block a little and doesn't commit dumb penalties he's already an upgrade over Gresham. I wouldn't expect much as a receiver, but we have Eifert for those three games he plays this year.

Don't forget that other TE we drafted that coulda been had as an UDFA!

The angst over a draft...in which we all knew that nearly no player would be drafted that would impact the coming season.

Just stop.

Kroft was 3rd on Rutgers team last year in catches with 24.

WR Carroo 55 catches
WR Grant 25 catches
TE Kroft 24 catches

Rutgers ran the ball 489 times last year versus completing 199 passes.

As you can see, Rutgers is a running program, and Kroft stood no chance of getting many more balls than this. His college program just simply didn't use him like you expect. You can find some damn good TE's in programs that do not utilize them to their max potential, because that is not their style of offense. Then you can find these pass catching TE's with great numbers that you are excited about that can't do a damn thing once they reach the NFL, example: Chase Coffman.

Almost anyone we took you would have been pissed, so I am not sure why I am explaining myself to you, but whatever.

Exactly
1) Ogbuehi is not out for the entire season. He will start the season the PUP which is either 6 or 8 weeks. He will be available at some point, and it does not matter, as long as we have Whitworth and Smith healthy for this season, we are good to go.

2) Kroft was not targeted that much in his program because they don't use the TE's that much. That alone does not make him a crappy TE because he was in a college program that didn't utilize their TE's. Not unlike the Bengals over the last decade or so. Hopefully with these new TE's along with Eifert, we can use them more.

Everyone wanted a flashy WR including myself, but in reality, we picked up Moore in the offseason, Green, Jones, Sanu will all be healthy, and we added two new pass catching TE's, at least one who can block, to a healthy Eifert. If we are going to be playing a lot of two TE sets to disguise our offensive intentions, either run with Hill, or drop back and pass, it is nice to know that both TE's on the field become legit pass catching options for the Little Pink Rocket.

I don't think the team in general is that bad. It is just the guy commanding the huddle that is the issue.

I think overall, this is a very solid roster, one of the best in the league overall talent wise. Just need a leader that can get us over the hump.

Exactly! The future QB is already on the roster in AJ McCarron....Mike Brown wont let him leave the building if he is as good as what the coaches are saying....I WILL NEVER EVER BELIEVE that a 2 time National Champion who played in 3 national title games at Alabama in the SEC is WORSE than Andy Dalton. Give the same talent to AJ let him play often in the Preseason and by the end of 15 he will be ready and starts in 2016. He is a better leader, better passer more efficient less INT's than Andy..... I wont believe shit else until I see it myself...And as many of you already know if Im wrong Im fuckin wrong...is what it is....

Effective research allows you to uncover that he has 4 different OC's in 4 years of college...he lead his team in catches his junior year but Ralph "I run the ball 80 times" Friedgen doesnt utilize TE's....He is the college version of Bob Bratkowsky.... Kroft will make you buy a jersey. You heard it here 1st.

What were his numbers his junior year? He also can block which is what we need in the AFC North....He has the tools to be taught and the WANT to...which many of these soft ass TE's Dont want to do.

I agree. Which is why I brought up the argument to Kramer, who is just sore about not winning a playoff game. So anything done outside that particular area just sucks, at least until that playoff win occurs to him.

If Marvin didn't draft enough tight ends Mike Brown was going to bring Matt Schoboel back.

on the bright side, this probably means that we've moved on from Gresham, which should be good for both the Bengals and Gresham.... if anyone signs him.

I'm glad Tgann is back. We haven't spent enough time talking about Dennis Pita.

My Derby horse was Upstart, who forgot to start up, but the Sunday after I caught a nice $21 horse and $400 trifecta at Gulfstream. Playing four days a week full time these days, it's better than trying to beat sports.
