Yeah, he's such a great TE that the school he went to didn't use him.
Do you hear what the fuck you are even saying?

As for Kroft, if he can block a little and doesn't commit dumb penalties he's already an upgrade over Gresham. I wouldn't expect much as a receiver, but we have Eifert for those three games he plays this year.

1) Ogbuehi is not out for the entire season. He will start the season the PUP which is either 6 or 8 weeks. He will be available at some point, and it does not matter, as long as we have Whitworth and Smith healthy for this season, we are good to go.
2) Kroft was not targeted that much in his program because they don't use the TE's that much. That alone does not make him a crappy TE because he was in a college program that didn't utilize their TE's. Not unlike the Bengals over the last decade or so. Hopefully with these new TE's along with Eifert, we can use them more.
Everyone wanted a flashy WR including myself, but in reality, we picked up Moore in the offseason, Green, Jones, Sanu will all be healthy, and we added two new pass catching TE's, at least one who can block, to a healthy Eifert. If we are going to be playing a lot of two TE sets to disguise our offensive intentions, either run with Hill, or drop back and pass, it is nice to know that both TE's on the field become legit pass catching options for the Little Pink Rocket.
I don't think the team in general is that bad. It is just the guy commanding the huddle that is the issue.
I think overall, this is a very solid roster, one of the best in the league overall talent wise. Just need a leader that can get us over the hump.

Kroft was 3rd on Rutgers team last year in catches with 24.
WR Carroo 55 catches
WR Grant 25 catches
TE Kroft 24 catches
Rutgers ran the ball 489 times last year versus completing 199 passes.
As you can see, Rutgers is a running program, and Kroft stood no chance of getting many more balls than this. His college program just simply didn't use him like you expect. You can find some damn good TE's in programs that do not utilize them to their max potential, because that is not their style of offense. Then you can find these pass catching TE's with great numbers that you are excited about that can't do a damn thing once they reach the NFL, example: Chase Coffman.
Almost anyone we took you would have been pissed, so I am not sure why I am explaining myself to you, but whatever.
Out on parole?
What were his numbers his junior year? He also can block which is what we need in the AFC North....He has the tools to be taught and the WANT to...which many of these soft ass TE's Dont want to do.
Just let me back in....on probation. ;-)
