The Bengals are in the market for a backup linebacker.

It’s believed that Sean Porter, the club’s star-crossed third round pick from 2013, unbelievably tore his ACL on the first snap of his NFL career Sunday night in Foxboro in a crazy non-contact injury on the opening kickoff.

Porter missed his entire rookie year with a preseason shoulder injury and when he finally got to play the second preseason game of his career this August, he injured his hamstring and missed the first three games of this season before being active for the 43-17 loss to New England.

He arrived in the locker room Monday on crutches and in a full-length cast.

Unbelievable. I think it is time to just let poor old Sean go after this season and move on.

It shouldn't be too hard to replace a player who never plays.

Crazy thing is...he never got hurt in H.S. or college...only after he got drafted.

Sucks, but it is what it is.

Picked up some dude that was on the Saints IR (destined to return). Why would the Saints waive a guy they used such a valuable designation on? A 4th rounder at that? The sniff test says that he has either broken a law or been doping..... But Payton is pretty close with Marvin so it's hard for me to believe that they wouldn't have chatted about the dude. Thoughts?

That's cool..... But be sure to give it some effort. Don't give it the Bengal primetime effort, really dig deep on this one.

It does make you wonder.

Though, I read something the other day that the Saints were trying to work a loophole to get Byrd on the short- IR list, but no dice.

Oh well, it's a buy low kind of deal.
