He won a super bowl calling plays for the Legion of Boom, and his cowboys defenses have also been pretty good until the playoffs.

There is a long line of coaches who are good coordinators and bad head coaches, and he is one of them: Norv Turner, wade phillips, Fangio, patricia, josh mcdaniels, lovie smith, ron rivera, dan quinn, kingsbury, gase, etc etc.
