Most likely yes. . But just because they were arrested on simple possession, doesn't mean they won't end up charged with intent to distribute if they think they can get it. Sometimes those DA's get a boner for celebrity felony cases.

first off, let's be real here - you have to have at least a full ounce in IL for it to be a felony, and even then, when cops bust people, anything under 2 ounces and your lawyer won't let them hit you with the felony charge. Can't imagine it being that much stricter any where else that isn't Arizona (felony regardless how much you have, I think)

secondly, if its not broken up into little baggies, there is no way in hell they will even attempt to get him on distribution.

Also, first time offender in the NFL, so we all know nothing is happening here.

Doh..I was in the wrong state. In PA, it takes 30 grams (basically an ounce) to consider it more than "personal use", for some reason I was in Virginia, which is half an ounce. Nope, no chance they get more than a misdemeanor

IF the NFL is going to take a stand on players using, they need to take a hard one. Seems it is developing into a bit of a pattern. If not, then just let 'em light up in the pregame and at half time - - and just let them mellow out. ....

You know what's real messed up, this will fall under the personal conduct policy since it's not a failed drug test (unless they test them tomorrow morning or so, then maybe both? ) especially Bell's DUI. All kinds of ways Goodell could handle this one. But given appeals, both legally and in the league, I doubt we worry about it until 2015
