Till We Can't Be Beat. WON'T. BE. BEAT.
All of you guys sitting around talking about recruits like you know what they're going to do in a NCAA uniform really aren't much better than Smart. If you are at all.
It's pretty damn easy to see when someone is going to be productive at the next level. Specifically at skill positions. Dominant players at the highest levels of high school football generally tend to flourish at the college level.
It didn't take an rocket scientist to figure out by watching Rex Burkhead thrash Dallas Skyline (The best HS defense in the country at the time) and completely dominate in Texas HS football that he would be a productive player.
Taylor Martinez led his HS team to a California state championship.
Tommy Armstrong (just got on campus) led his team to a Texas 5A state championship.
What do you know, Johnny Stanton also led his team to a California state championship.
We like to bring in guys who have played at the highest level and won. They know how to win and it's what they're used to. If they so happen to have lots of stars next to their name, well there's a pretty good reason for that isn't there?
