Sens visit the home of choking on baseballs tonight to visit the Bruins.

sens_banner.jpg

Likely Sens forward lines tonight.

Colin Greening-Jason Spezza-Nikita Filatov
Milan Michalek-Mika Zibanejad-Daniel Alfredsson
Nick Foligno-Zack Smith-Bobby Butler
Erik Condra-Zenon Konopka-Chris Neil

Peter Regin is out with injury, as is prospect Stephane Da Costa.

D pairings will likely look like this.

Look for Rundblad, Cowen, Lee, Gonchar, Kuba and Carkner to be the six D-men.

Chris Phillips is nursing a sore back.

Craig Anderson should play the whole game.

No word on the Bruins lineup yet; I'll let those cup winning motherscratchers' fans fill that part in.

See if you can reach out to Chris Neil and get him to hit his face on Chara's elbow from behind after a whistle.

I want Shanahan's head to explode.

Here are lines and pairings this evening:

Milan Lucic-David Krejci-Nathan Horton
Brad Marchand-Patrice Bergeron-Rich Peverley
Benoit Pouliot-Chris Kelly-Jordan Caron
Daniel Paille-Gregory Campbell-Chris Clark
Lane MacDermid/Max Sauve-Tyler Seguin-Shawn Thornton

Zdeno Chara-Steven Kampfer
Dennis Seidenberg-Johnny Boychuk
Andrew Ference-Joe Corvo
Matt Bartkowski-Adam McQuaid

Tim Thomas
Tuukka Rask
Anton Khudobin

* The competition for the 13th forward spot. Jordan Caron has been better than Chris Clark. But Caron can be assigned to Providence without requiring waivers. It wouldn***8217;t hurt Caron to get top-six time in Providence. But would be very difficult to tell Caron he***8217;s not deserving of an NHL job after his camp.

* The competition for the seventh D spot. Coin flip at this point. If my call, Steven Kampfer stays. Matt Bartkowski gets heavy reps in Providence.

UPDATE: Tyler Seguin, Shawn Thornton, Lane MacDermid, Max Sauve, Dennis Seidenberg, Johnny Boychuk, and Anton Khudobin will be the healthy scratches. Tim Thomas will start.

Looks like the Bruins are icing their A line-up. I don't like my guys chances tonight.

I have a feeling I'll be saying that a lot this year. :pout:

I never said they didn't choke, I just find it funny that someone who's team hasn't won squat decided to talk trash to Boston fans. I guess I just felt the need to remind you things have been pretty good here in the Boston area the last 10 years. By the way, I have a great sense of humor.

Man did the Bruins make a nice pick up with Peverley. Skates so well and makes the right decision so often.

Yup, very good complimentary player - He and Chris Kelly were under the radar, but key acquisitions last season.

100% correct sir. I knew when the Bruins picked them up, and they got acclimated to the team, they had a really good team. I think it's better than the teams with Neely and Bourque where they are much deeper talent wise. The 3rd and 4th lines are much better than the ones of the Bourque/Neely era and were instrumental in the Stanley Cup run.

Meh, we've heard them for so many years. One thing about Boston teams, win or lose, they seem to do it in grand fashion.
