It really is amazing how conservative Fox went late in this one. Heck, Cutler needed only 21 seconds to get into easy FG range near the end of regulation. With how explosive the passing game was today, it's pretty disgusting that Fox would go conservative like that. But of course Fox is known as a very conservative coach. It can work if you have a good defense, but Chicago's defense isn't good enough to play that way yet. If the Bears are gonna win many games, it will because of Cutler and all those weapons on offense. Fox needs to adapt.

It's hard to swallow because it would have gotten the Bears to 3-3, which would have been terrific after the 0-3 start. It would have felt like they were in the thick of the wildcard race as well. But at 2-4 now, it isn't looking good.

The positive is that Cutler looks very good in Gase's offense. He looks so much more in control of things than I've ever seen. The Bears might have their QB for the next few years, and it will be a very good team if they can improve the defense.

Not to pick on Marty, cuz he's one of my favorite Bears, but I cannot believe he didn't get that first down, when he caught it, with the space he had and the load that he generally is to bring down...I thought that was going to be an easy first down. Couldn't believe they got him right down.

Marty has dropped quite a few clutch passes over the past few weeks. I know it would have been a good catch in the endzone, but the ball did hit him in the hands. That's a TD instead of FG... and he doesn't look as fluid or smooth as some other guys when he does catch it. Where are the seem routes, where he can run after the catch?

He was injured Thursday in practice, and he still is the best TE we've had in my lifetime. I was just shocked he was stopped, with the space he had, and how he always gets gets yards after contact...thought that one was surefire.
