F flying. That stuff is hard!

It was great in BF Vietnam. I loved the F4. Could fly that thing upside down under bridges and do pinpoint napalm drops. in BF3 it is impossible.

I doubt it is terrible. Im sure other games look better. There is so much shit going on in Battlefield everything exploding. Boats, vehicles, tanks all driving around it's not going to be amazing. But I bet it's good.

Has anybody bought/played this on console? Obviously it's magnificent on PC - but i'm considering buying it on my PS3. I just don't want to waste the $60 if people aren't very impressed with it.

I have it for the 360. I will say this, it's going to be better on a PC for 2 reasons:
1. The graphics are better on the PC
2. The maps are "original" size on the PC

Those apply to the next gen consoles as well. However, the biggest problem is that they had to Nerf the game a bit to work on the consoles. For instance, there's a max of 24 players vs. 62. Just minor stuff like that adds up to make a difference. But the game is still really good.

My biggest complaint with BF4 is that they don't seem to have created new vehicles. Most of the vehicles are basically the same thing from BF3 with a few different upgrades. For instance, the helicopters: there's the transport one with two mini-guns on the sides that must be shot by the passengers, there's the small attack chopper; which has the machine gun to start and then there's the attack chopper; which starts off with missiles and the gunner underneath with the heavier machine gun. It's almost exactly the same as BF3 -- which was a little disappointing.

Also, the maps seem a little smaller on BF4 than they were on 3. This is almost certainly different in the PC version but on the consoles some of the maps are disappointingly small. They have a little more of a COD feel to them. Now it is hard to compare the games because I don't quite remember what BF3 was prior to the 5 expansion packs so I'm assuming this will change with the expansions.

Basically, it's one of the best games for the consoles in my opinion and it's an even better game if you have a PC that can run it. If you liked BF3 then you will like 4 because it's practically the same game but with tweaks here and there that balance it out a bit more; and obviously new maps, guns -- ect. A lot of my points above were semi-negative but that's only because I'm a huge BF fan and played all previous versions extensively. I was just expecting more of a "new" game out of 4 and got one that's basically like a huge expansion to 3. But the game is still great and the entertainment of the game play will never go away. I just hope the expansion packs get a little more creative with new vehicles and such (as they did with BF3).

I have it for 360 as well. Game was rushed out (bugs, crashes, etc)...but I still like playing it.

If you are getting a PS4/Xbox One - I'd wait to get it on that. (for the reasons listed above about the PC positives/differences). Current gen - while a great game - seems/feels off.

It seems, just after a few weeks, that things are running smoother now. I haven't had the game freeze on me since the first week of having the game. There are some bugs here and there but nothing that has ruined the game. And now that I've played all the maps I can say that there's quite a few in there that I love. Plus, we're going to get some of my favorites from the BF3 here in a few days with the expansion they're already releasing.

And now that I've begun to unlock some of the weapons, I like some of the attachments they've added. Specifically I love that they added the side iron sight to sniper rifles so you can use them like a bolt action rifle in close quarters and quickly flip to your scope if need be.

The vehicles still seem all too familiar though. I can dominate in the helicopters just like I could in BF3 - there's little change there. It's possible that the change is with the unlocks for them, which I haven't gotten yet.

PCs will always have better graphics but how does the PS4 look compared to the PS3's version?

I have PS3, just don't have BF4. Is it worth it? I'm leaning towards Grand Theft at the moment.

Yeah it is worth it, no bugs so far. Decent campaign, mutliplayer is awesome as usual but GTA V is a better game imo. I would go with it.

There are still freezing issues/bugs here and there that DICE are working on.

I say its worth it....but GTA will probably offer the better "non-multiplayer" experience.

Does anyone else think that the sound effects on BF4 aren't as good as BF3? Seems like every gun on BF4 sounds the same.
