Not a huge fan so I am not super familiar with game but I have a question. If a ball is hit to the outfield say between left and center and the left fielder makes a play on that ball a diving play but bobbles the ball but still manages to bat the ball to the center fielder who catches the ball before it hits the ground, is this still an out?

Yes. Any ball caught in the air is an out no matter how many times it is bobbled. Just your standard 7-8 putout.

IIRC, a rule does exist on it, it's just so laughably unlikely as to be irrelevant. I want to say it was like 8 bobbles?

If so, that's a new one on me, but yeah, 8 bobbles would be nearly impossible without finally dropping the ball or securing it for a catch.

Could double check to make sure it exists- but it's basically the same idea as the infield fly I am guessing.

I always wondered if anyone tried "bobbling" a fly ball while moving towards the infield to try and hold a runner from advancing. I wonder what a ump would call. As the runner, you aren't supposed to leave before the ball is caught, but if it's being bobbled, when is it caught?

This is another IIRC moment, but I think that as long as the runner is tagging up, he can advance as soon as the ball is touched.

Yep.

"The batter hits a fly ball to the outfield. The ball hits off the fielders glove and he bobbles it then catches it. ... The runner does have to go and tag up on this situation since the fielder eventually caught the ball. However, the runner can advance (tag up) from his base as soon as the fielder touches it."

You can advance once the ball is touched, not caught.

every position is labeled with a number for scoring purposes

th

so thus, if a runner is at first with less than 2 outs and a ball is hit to the shortstop who throws it to second then the second basemen throws to first for a double play it is scored 6 4 3

Even though you didn't ask, you probably should know that a ball that bounces off an outfielders head and over the outfield wall is considered a homer and not a ground-rule double. A la Jose Canseco.
