Post your stories of you or anyone you know of that found a great one..

Mine was when I was 15. About 1984
A buddy of my dad had a '71 Torino Cobra, 429 Super Cobra Jet, 4 speed w/Ram Air. Engine was a basket case, pretty much sitting in the trunk in pieces. All the pieces were there though.
Body was in great shape, and had all trim on it as well.

As a 15 year old kid I could only dream, but another friend of my Dad nabbed it for $1500.00..

My dad said he gets at least one random knock on the door a month about my F1. Said the offers range from $100 to $500 for it.

Hmm, mine is more rust than black...but that is the right one :)

I had a buddy that I told I had a Ford F1 and he asked how fast it was. I started saying "the truck" after that to most people now.

my grandparents, on their farm used to have a bunch of junk cars out in their field. some were just some shitty old things, but he had a few that would make great projects.

one was a '54 Chevy Bel Air and a '61 Ford Galaxie

I was young when he had them out there, and i decided when i was old enough, i was going to ask if i could buy the Galaxie off him...sadly, before i was old enough, he got rid of all the junk cars in the field...

My favorite year for Galaxy is the '64..
But '61 would be a fun ride for sure..

I figured I'd check some '41 Willys project cars.
Seen one with the body a chassis done, just needs motor and drive-train for $28,000.
