i think people need to understand that FA isnt a panacea for all our issues . you might get a 40 to 50 % hit rate for the amount of needs we have . if we sign 10 guys , maybe 4 help and the others not so much this has been our history since the late 90's . if we are going to spend it needs to be on talented young guys no older the 28 who are entering their prime . (or close to it in age and prime )

I don't see it as a panacea for all our issues, but (and I mean FAs that are targeted not ones that simply become available and we move on them) we've got to do better in the FA area. When it comes to FAs that we specifically target. If we're targeting a ILB to start. He's needs to be at the very least, a level above both Foster and Compton. This is a new FO, or its supposed to. It would be nice to see them buck the trend far as that history of which you speak. I can dig the way you feel far as FAs, but that also sounds like 4 healthy salaries.

You are joking - right? I can't always tell w/ you. I assume that you are. 28 is not even remotely close to being old for a QB. The guy who just won the SB & is considered the GOAT is almost 40 years old. WRs can also often play & be productive for a very long time.
