I'm thrilled as hell for the O's and would love nothing more than to see them keep playing so well (with the exception of the Texas series this week of course), but I honestly don't see them being able keep up this production. Their #1 starter is tommy hunter, and I don't see Davis continuing his tear either. That said, fuck the Yankees and fuck Boston.

As a lifelong O's fan, I can understand your pessimism. That being said, I have a different feeling about this group. I don't expect them to win the division or even really contend for a wildcard. What I do see is a team that is finally starting to believe in themselves that goes into games expecting to compete and have a chance to win everytime out. I think Buck has finally drilled a winning attitude into their heads. They're not intimidated by the likes of the Yanks and Sox anymore! If/when they win today, that'll be a 5-1 trip through Yankee Stadium and Fenway Park! Their confidence level has to be through the roof. I expect them to ride it all the way through the season and end up with around 85 wins. They're still a young group overall and are only going to get better. Here's hopin'...

25-14 and #1 in the American League heading into the weekend Battle of the Beltway series in Washington (who are 23-15). I'm really impressed how the boys have handled this current set since 4/24. Only had two days off (one of which was a rain out and turned into a double header the next day), and the only series they lost was against the Rangers. This stretch also included the Jays, Rays, Yanks (x2 series), Sox and we took care of our AL East brethren fairly well. Hoping to make it out to one, if not all 3, of the games against the Nats this weekend to cheer on dem O's, hon!
