It took me a while to understand how the game was different than the 1st two but I'm getting the hang of it and I like it! There are game crashes periodically loading and saving games that drive me batty.
I adapted quickly because I played both of the Divinity games that Larian put out first. They made the first game to convince WotC to give them rights to D&D, and it was so popular they made a second. If you are enjoying BG3 I would recommend taking a look at those ones, same game feel, but different rule set.

So this finally came out on Xbox a few weeks back and I finally picked it up the other day. Fuck it’s awesome. Covid and then having a baby made getting a dnd group together untenable for me so this is exactly what I needed. I’m doing the same circle of the moon Druid that I always did irl and loving it.

I'm playing it on PS5 and finding that the 2nd act is a bitch to get through. Great game though...

I haven't played BG3 yet but I am playing Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous which is pretty close to the rules back when I was playing RPGs with friends. These types of games can easily eat away 150-200 hours of gameplay with various builds. This genre has really gone through a renaissance imo.

Did notice a lotta update patches for this game. I've had it for about a month now...

Wrath of the Righteous had a new expansion come out recently. Im actually waiting a bit to see if there is some sort of Baldur's Gate 3 Enhanced Edition because I know Larian usually does that. Regardless, it'll be something i'll play next year

It's funny but I just stopped playing baldurs gate 3. I like the game itself but the loading times are just too long and it's much too easy to get lost and stuck in some impossible to navigate region.

I am playing it now as an evil guy, I have had it for a while but it hasn't clicked with me until now.

I also played the divinity games and also the Owlcat RPGs: Pathfinder Kingmaker and Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous. So this should be right up my alley.

I’m gonna do a Dark Urge play though when I finish the first run and I think it’ll be quite fun.

Still trying to get through act 2. Killing Kethric Thorne is proving to be quite a task...

So you're doing better than me...

I'm not as far as you guys, but from what I hear, if you really min-max your leveling choices and focus on specific builds you can build some real killers in this game and crush everything.
