I am shocked that one of the best franchises and fans get's as little press as they have.

Buffalo has been top's in the US TV ratings and looking around to different site's it's almost a non factor when the debacle in Phoenix get's the headlines.

Are hockey fans and the media more concerned with what's wrong with the league or the good that is happening?

The Sabres play to almost capacity crowds in every game and have supported the team since 1970. The main topic seems to be other teams including the Devil's for sale that do not have near the support the Sabres do. I'm baffled.

Phoenix? Please. The Sabres fans deserve more respect and kudo's and let's not concentrate on teams that shouldn't be where they are.

It's damn depressing.

I think having an owner that loved the team before he bought them should help get the ball rolling again.

Then Canada must love a Nuclear explosion with the Leafs. We have never won a cup getting into the league in 1970 and the Leafs won their last in 67 when I was 12 years old. Now that's old!!

Just having fun my friend.

I'm an American and don't have the faintest clue as to who the Kardashian's are.

Hell, as of last week, I thought "Snooki" was a game played on a billiard table in Great Britian.

The train wreck I was reffering to was the Coyotes, meaning things that are calamitous usually attract the most attention.

Thanks for the slag though.

IMO the fact that Buffalo rarely gets mentioned means they're doing things right. Would you really want the Sabres to be mentioned with the Coyotes, Panthers, Thrashers, Predators (although they do seem to have stabilized things in Nashville) and any other franchises where lack of attendance mean those franchises are thrown about as possible ones for relocation?

When a team bleeds money for years like the Coyotes have, that's what the news is going to follow. Buffalo's sale got a news article, but when it comes to the ownership side of things, that all you're gonna get, and that's a good thing.

I hate to link to the swamp, but the Sabres at 12th, above some teams that are better than they are (in the standings) is impressive.

I agree with Destroy, no news is probably good news.

Alarm bells should be ringing in Atlanta (a pretty good team) and Phoenix (dead horse, here is your beating) as they are competetive and can`t even come close to filling their buildings.

Buffalo may be a great hockey market, but the US media is generally more interested in raw market size. LA, Chicago, New York, DC, Dallas, Houston, SF, Phoenix, Atlanta, Minny, Boston, etc. Big market = more exposure. Buffalo is one of the smallest markets in pro sports, so they will tend to get overlooked.

I also would have accepted "They don't have an NBA team." :)

And they never will, at least not until they can afford to beef up the police force!
