Yeah my favorite two weeks on the sports calendar are this one and next week. It just sucks because this tournament was going to be wide open. We may see the nba and nhl(assuming nhl suspends the season) start back up again, but probably not until May or Mid-May.
Also makes me wonder what MLB will do with the opening of the season approaching.

My guess is it's a 140 game season, they start in May or something like that.

If they do play the NCAA Tournament, the selection process if going to be super wonky not having these big conference tournaments played out.

And there were already some conference tournies that got played

Its a lot easier for leagues to cancel conference tourneys than it will be for the NCAA to cancel the tourney. Youre talking hundreds of millions in TV money .

I think they cancel it but its closer to 50/50 than it is a sure thing imo

It is 100% not happening, at least next week.

I just wonder what is the realistic amount of time they can postpone for?

These are college kids many graduating and many going pro at some point. Can TV and venues make it work at a later date? Probably not much later if NBA starts again.

For sure mot next week. I think you could probably push back a few weeks ( 3-4 ) but will stuff be dramatically different by then?

It sucks the most for the Seniors at small schools who won their conference tourney who would get to play in the tourney for the first time.

And schools like Dayton & San Diego State who had substantial seasons but wont get a chance to show it on the grandest stage.

Agreed.

NCAA in 2020 for the Power Conferences in basically a waystation for the NBA/G-League, but some of these smaller schools will have lost their moment.

Bad timing.
