People need to experience it before they rate it.

That is for damn sure.

Gameday at Nebraska will put butterflies in your stomach, whether your team is playing or not. Just being there is unreal.

It's almost a religious experience.

My sister went with her boyfriend to Michigan vs Illinois n the "big house" a few years back. I think there were 5 overtimes or something crazy like that.

She said it was like a cemetery the whole time. No one got loud at any point. No one got into the game. Quietest game she's ever been to.

Be honest. You were at the game with your sister, and after 5 OTs had sex in the Econo Lodge hotel you rented while drinking MD 20/20.

Pretty sure I'm closer to the truth than what you just posted. :suds:

Being the largest and what has happened there does not make it the best.

In-of-itself, you are correct, but those are major pluses. Ann Arbor also has a great gameday enviroment, and a game at the Big House is quite the experience (due to in no small part having the largest crowd). There is no way that all 4 of those stadium are that much better, without adding those factors I already mentioned, that they can top Michigan Stadium. One, maybe two, but not four.

I have only been to 3 different D1 CFB stadiums. I think I have been to 5-6 games at Kinnick, 1 game at UNI, and spring game at Memorial Stadium for Husker spring game in spring of 2006. Stadium was being renovated, so one end was not filled and they were working on new video screen. I never really wanted to go to a game unless it was vs Iowa. Now I wish I did go at least once.

I'm surprised Byrd Stadium didn't finish last. That place is a dump. I'm sure all the visiting B1G fans will get a nice laugh.

I went to the Nebraska/Oklahoma game down in Norman back when Joe Dailey was our QB.

It was actually one of the worst experiences I've had......though OU fans were fairly courteous once they got to know us.

It was like 35 degrees and snow/rain that night. OU smoked us and actually set a few records that game. The crowd was totally not into it at all because it just wasn't an exciting game.

I'd like to experience it at a better time.

We did kick a field goal as time expired so that we could have 3 points on the board.

OU fans got loud then :dhd:

Memorial stadium is a joke, but it's whatever. It's quiet til about halftime then most of the students leave and I imagine it's practice level noise at a serious football school the rest of the time.

Which memorial stadium?

IU really needs to change their stadium name. Just like Illinois needed to change their arena name, it's fucking ghey for conference foes to share them. Until last year both schools played at memorial stadium and assembly hall. :L :L :L :L :L

I agree it is great. I have been to a couple games in Ann Arbor, I live about an hour south. As far as comparing to the others I cant help there.
