Athletic Department shake up

Both Paul Meyers and Michael Stephens are gone.

This doesn't seem good.

Like irule said, Meyers is our top fundraiser. He resigned in protest of how Pederson was running things. When he resigned, Pederson got got fired a couple weeks later.

Stephens was the genius behind the Year 1 ticket promotion for basketball that ended up selling out PBA. Apparently he got a job at Ohio...the fact that he is leaving for Ohio concerns me.

I don't know if there are any negative reasons for these guys leaving like there were when Meyers left in 07, but losing these guys for any reason at all is a big deal. If it comes out that it is for negative reasons then it is an even bigger deal.

Hell, Mr Hawks has already said that the hole Meyers leaves will not be able to be filled by 1 person.

The big donors really love that guy. So he didn't leave after another guy was hired as AD, but gave it time, and now is choosing to leave.

This seems like it sucks.

Sounds like the son is still gonna play for Erstad tho.

It sounds really odd to me that Meyers resigned to pursuit other opportunities.

One would think that he would just keep working and pursuit other opportunities.

Yeah, it doesn't seem right at all.

This was a complete surprise. If things were cordial then why not go to the boss and say that you are going to start looking but will stay on and help in any way necessary because I love this place and will leave in about a month or so.

I highly doubt that was it. If he was just going to walk out because he disliked Pelini staying on he would have done it prior to now. We've known Bo was staying for over 6 months now.
