at rookie game

1-0 caps at end of 1st. Etienne Boutet is starting to stand out and looks like a player. Campbell Elynuik also looks good. Tyler Brown absolutely crushed a Cap. So far Schenn is unimpressive. I have a hard time believing he is ready for the NHL but this is only 1 game. Couturier is equally unimpressive. They are definately good but not standing out like the other guys I mentioned. Will give another report during the 2nd.

I second this post. Also, Brown scored uor first goal. He undressed a Cap dman in a sexy way. Schenn seemed invisible. Int the scoreboard they played a vid abotu Couturier saying how he uses his size to protect the puck. Minutes later he was on a rush and played it like a 2 year old.

Fuck Rinaldo. He didnt do anything, but I dont like him.

DOOP was the goal song. I like it, more annoying the better

i heard schenn was trying to focus more on defense tonight and i think his positioning tonight was great. wasnt wow'ed by him offensively. and couturier needs to fill out his frame, hes so long and lanky. kessel looked decent. brown too. also liked the performance by the goalies

Schenn and Couturier looked better in the 2nd and 3rd but still nothing special. I though Kessel, Lauridsen, Hyka, Akeson all played well. The kid from Brown, Harry Zolnierczyk looked good. Very good hockey sense. Both goalies looked good. Houser was shakey to start but then came on strong. Overall, I still think Boutet was the best player on the ice.
