Since there isn't much news going on regarding baseball right now and most everyone usually feels great optimism about their team at this point in the year, what do you all predict will be your favorite team's record for 2014? Just thought this would be a fun debatable topic for everyone to put out there.

I am predicting 94 wins for my Texas Rangers and winning the division by 2 games over Oakland whom gets in as a wild card.

I am also picking the Royals to make the biggest jump and be a 90 game winning team this year.

I still think there is potential for some drastic changes to the Mets roster as they are still discussing trading Ike Davis and potentially Daniel Murphy, plus signing Stephen Drew.

With that said, assuming no moves are made, I think the Mets are a .500 team. They are, in my opinion, significantly better on paper than they were last year when they finished 74-88. I will say they are at least 7 games better, possibly more depending on the moves that are made. Best case scenario I say the Mets are an 85-90 win team but more likely they'll go 81-81.

Pretty much this, expecting better than 74 wins for sure. A lot will rely on our pitching.

That is a bit of a toughie as there is plenty of room for speculation for guys like Hosmer and Moustakas. If I had to guess, I would peg it about 86 wins and no playoffs. Talent is there to do much better that if it happens to come together and win 92+ and possibly win the division.

Twins will be better than the last few years. Let's say 74-88 but real optimism at the end of the year when rookies get called up. They'll trade Willingham at the deadline and finish the year with an OF of Hicks/Buxton/Arcia and Sano will be at third.

I'm confident we'll contend this year. Topping the dodgers though is going to be tough. We got ravaged by injuries in a way i havent seen before. Pagan, Cain, Scutaro, Pablo, Affeldt, Casilla, and more all spent time on the DL, Posey played injured, Scutaro played injured. I cant imagine it happening again this bad.

Also our pitching majorly underperformed. Cain will bounce back, Vogey will bounce back, Timmy learned how to pitch at the end of the year, and I think Huddy will be solid.

Pitching has to be perfect though to beat LA.

Goldy and Trumbo combine for 90 bombs and become the best 1-2 punch in the majors. Arizona wins 93 games and the Dodgers go 60-102 as Puig gets busted for HGH and a fake birth certificate.

Nails on but thinking its going to ride on Ventura and Duffy more than Hosmer and Moose.

I'm taking the over on both of these.

I'm putting my money on a full season of Clay Buchholz and the 2014 Cy Young Award...

The pitching will be even better this year and will more than make up for the loss of their leadoff batter..
