Not sure I quite qualify on everything he added, but I do remember having rotary phones (that you couldn't own, they were all leased), a 'console' TV that got 3 channels all of which went off the air by midnight, having a manual choke in the first vehicle I learned to drive, and plenty of other things that well date me.

The first PC's I worked with were the Commodore Pet2001, the TRS80, and eventually went on to working with programming on the Apple IIe. That was before my parents brought home a Tandy 1000.
