With all the Chi-Van talk goin on tonight, I'd like to point out that Nashville beat the Ducks tonight to move on. As a Sharks fan, the Ducks are always a scary team and was surprised they didn't move on. I guess their goalie troubles were a big cause, but boy was that top line scary.

I wasn't surprised. Carlisle said it best early in the season. We're going to have to outscore teams. The Ducks defense has been bad all year. Hiller was standing on his head. Any team that loses Pronger & Niedermayer in consecutive years & replaces them with Lydman, Sutton, Beauchemin, Sbisa & Fowler is going to have a tough time keeping the puck out of their own net. Sutton spent most of the season where he usually does, the pressbox. He's an injury waiting to happen. How he got a two year contract is beyond me.

Lydman was solid. Beauchemin was disappointing. Sbisa & Fowler were rookies. Fowler was a minus 25 this year.

Visnovsky is there to run the powerplay & put up points. His defense is what it is.

This was a disappointing loss. No question about it. Hopefully Hiller fully recovers from vertigo. I hope Selanne comes back. It's completely up to him. If he returns, Koivu returns.

Murray will have to do something about the blueline this offseason regardless.

Congrats to the Preds. They earned it.

I think I picked the Preds winning it in six. Maybe if Hiller was 100% the Ducks would have had a chance, but Nashville is just one tough, well coached squad. The trio of Suter, Weber, and Rinne is nothing to sneeze at too.

Those southerners are tricky... Going by that photo on the NHL homepage, they had a packed house.

Pesky and prepared. A dangerous combo for an opposing team. When playing the Preds it's easy to see that teamwork, pure will, and desire is raw talent and skill's worst enemy.

Trotz has them ready to go. And Steve Sullivan doesn't get enough credit for his leadership either. One of the true good guys in the NHL. He's all heart.

Are you still talking about the series? This kinda sounds like an Orkin commercial for an ant problem.

nope. preds are a good team and have been for quite some time. probably the most underrated and unnoticed team in the league.

this series win was long overdue, just glad it didn't happen at the wings expense.

Sounds like an evil character from a Disney fairytale or some shit.

I've been watching Disney lately, and a lot of their stuff is fairly twisted. Hunchback is next on the agenda on Saturday, which I haven't seen for over 10 years. As I recall, it was dark then. I can't imagine how dark it'll seem now, given how much darker the others were 10 years later.

But yes, I thought myself clever for becoming NostraDarkstone. I even considered making a new screenname just for predictions. I didn't, and won't, but you know.

lol...

I really hope Sam Raimi does a good job with Oz: The Great and Powerful. The Wizard of Oz story is very cool and is meant to be dark.

I'm not surprised Nashville is a solid team who has a chance to knock out whoever they play next due to grest defence and goaltending.

I was surprised. Figured Anaheim's top group would have their way (and they kind of did), but I also thought Emery would hold them in a bit more. He played pretty wll down the stretch every time I happened to see the Ducks.
Also didn't know where nashville's offense would come from. I still don't to be honest.
Mike Fisher? Joel Ward? they shouldn't be able to beat another team in a series.

I am not suprised they beat the Ducks. I would not have been surprised if they had lost either. They are a very solid defensive team and I wondered if they would score enough to advance.
