Jay Gruden is a very smart fella............Here's what you guys are missing. Last week the theory was that the team did not show anything offensively during the preseason. Apparently, he deemed the true offense too important to reveal during game one as well. At home against Jacksonville, the full measure of what has been hidden will be revealed and we'll see pro-bowl level blocking, deep, medium range and short passes, at least 150 yards running and an efficient well oiled offensive juggernaut. See? all things revealed in their proper time.

he wont become a pocket passer overnight . he appeared to make decent reads and he didnt throw a pick and most of his work was in the pocket vs a good pass rushing team

however until he can master the pocket better we should give him some plays he excels at and use the threat he brings instead of creating a robot

Well dude, next week should be interesting. As i have said Im calling it 17-9 Jags and the defense again gives up around 10 points.

Let rg3 be rg3. So we can draft a qb that we will ruined again around around we go. 14 other teams lost yesterday I'm not worried cause I had skins winning 7 to 8 games this year then in gruden second year we go playoffs rg3 was good yesterday like bill snyder says keep choping wood . If you run'1 yard in this game in the next game you run 2 yards you have improved. Chop chop chop .

Simply put, Washington has nowhere near the personnel up front that either of those teams have offensively or defensively. Apparently the teachers are better on those teams too!!

Ranking the best and worst offensive lines in the NFL. | SportsonEarth.com : Mike Tanier Article

Not quite correct. According to this link (and many others) Seattle has one of the worst O-lines in the NFL. However - their defense makes up for a lot of shortcomings & - as alluded to earlier - Wilson finds a way to compensate in this area.

As for teachers/coaching - no way that you can make a judgement for the Skins in this area right now - they are just beginning. You need to wait until this season is over (probably impossible for some folks here) before you can start to determine their worth.

This team has a lot of potential to improve on the offense & the improvement can come from numerous areas including coaching, RG3 & personnel changes on the O-line. Time to put this game behind us & see what happens in the next few weeks.

Locker room prop costs Jaguars their punter - NFL - ESPN

Lol - how appropriate that you bring up that saying just before the Jags game. Remember this incident? Crazy.

people are worried about his health .

look at the sliding uproar , and how he was bashed for taking hits on a run in the preseason

all off season its been pocket passing pocket passing , throw the ball away

you are making him a robot

the HC didnt call a read option play not one

I thought the play where ALF got demolished by Watt was off the read option?!?!

When Bob was a rookie, defenses needed to respect his running ability. Defenses knew it was 50/50. NOW, after having two major surgeries on the same knee, defenses are gambling 60/40, 70/30 it'll be a RB play, until he shows he can hurt defenses again with his legs.

IMO, he definitely looks slower than before the injury. He used to be able to side step the defender behind the LOS and take off. Now you don't see that burst. If he in fact has lost a step, there's basically no turning back, he needs to develop as a passer because defenses won't respect his running ability in the read option.
