Just found it curious that all three hosts had to say about the Skins... If you are trying to make Rg3 into a pocket passer, you might as well put Cousins in. Apparently Im not the only one that thinks trying to make him into a pocket passer is an experiment in futility.

Wilson almost never takes a hard hit when he runs. Robert needs to emulate that.

And you dont think that has anything to do with the coach coming out and saying if Robert isnt comfortable running it, we arent going to run it??

I will be 100% honest here.. if Griffin would simple let the thing rip and stop holding onto it so long, he might be able to develop as a pocket passer. But making 24 of 35 dont mean dick if its for 240 yards and no TDs. Hell Brunell could do that at age 36.

Simply put, Washington has nowhere near the personnel up front that either of those teams have offensively or defensively. Apparently the teachers are better on those teams too!!

I think you may be missing Shark's point......Its RG3 who wanted to offense to change for him to be more of a pocket passer. This is true. Remember how his Dad came out and criticized shanahan after the 1st year? Maybe Robert will have a realization that his uniqueness is in the combination of his legs and his arm. Not just his arm.

Bottom line... he looks average trying to be a pocket passer. And if he wasnt healthy enough to run the offense, he should have sat down. Iwould be fine with seeing some read options and designed bootlegs next week. But Im not going to hold my breath.

even gruden said that as far as read option is concerned

the posters on this board all have banged that drum all off season and i have said let Rg3 be Rg3

but we have to have throwing the ball away practice , sliding practice , check down practice , taking hits practice , matching sock practice

wilson and kaep roll out get quick throws , take a read option play a few times a game

today he had 3 rushes none called

also why not use jackson like harvin ? using the read option makes that play viable too

he wont become a pocket passer overnight . he appeared to make decent reads and he didnt throw a pick and most of his work was in the pocket vs a good pass rushing team

however until he can master the pocket better we should give him some plays he excels at and use the threat he brings instead of creating a robot
