I had a soft spot for him for a long time. Ole Miss is one of the most challenging major conference jobs.

Kennedy did better than his predecessors did. Unless Ole Miss pumped serious money in their basketball program recently, then I feel like Kennedy did a solid job. Kennedy will be the first Ole Miss coach since 1938 that will end his coaching career there with an .500+ SEC record.

I'm not sure how Kennedy would have done at Cincy, but I don't think his time at Ole Miss should be looked at as a negative.
