RELAX people, Dalton will be just fine! In years past, a team stuck with a guy with potential and went with him for years. You had Hart in St. Louis, Pastorini in Houston, Fouts in SD, Anderson here, etc.
The point is, Each team had an identifyable qb, AND THEY STUCK WITH THEM!
Now everyone has to play musical quarterbacks. If a guy doesn't produce after their first season, you start someone else.
I say go with your best choice and stick him out there, let him know he will be your QB for the next 6 years and take that pressure off. You'll be much more successful in the long run, than changing qb's every season trying to find the next biggest thing.
Here is an article below showing how Dalton stacks up. Give him 6 years, give him a supporting cast rather than wasting a pick on more qb's.
