The Jayhawks had stopped recruiting Wiggins b/c he was a FSU LOCK. Something happened there at the end. Bill Self and Co. weren't even monitoring his decision. They were taken 100% by surprise. 100%. Someone outside of the program had to alert them that Wiggins picked Kansas. UK and UNC were never really contenders.
