Rumored he is gone.
Most would say it is about time.
So this gives us around $4.66 million in cap space.
Washington Redskins Salary Cap - Over the Cap
Over The Cap projects us having $36M in cap space next year based on a $166M cap. That doesn't include Roberts' release so we'll have about $40M. However, if we can re-do Cuz's deal and get his cap number down to, say, $15M this year, that will mean we can roll the extra $5M we save this year over to next year. If so, we'll have around $45M in space in 2017 if, and it's a big if, the cap rises to $166M.
With that amount of space, that will be more than enough to accommodate Cuz's cap figure and to re-sign someone like D-Jax, who I still think we need.
That was always my thought too. But it maybe true that it depends on how this year plays out.I think we cut him because we have cheaper and better alternatives in place thus freeing up capital to resign KC and others.
As for the choice in DJ and PG...there is no choice. DJ spreads the field. Even if he is individually ineffective, he opens other players...he will be the player resigned.

Unless Jackson loses a step or has off-field problems, there's no choice between him and Garcon. Garcon simply ain't the athlete he used to be and was awful for the first half of last season.it will be between garcon and dj . to me whomever is productive and healthy would be my target . i expect wr will be on our draft board next season as well
