I don't know shit about MMA, but I've learned never to bet against GSP.

Up until now GSP has never faced an opponent like Silva. Silva has not lost a match in over six years and he has a history of destroying oppenents in the first round. GSP will also have to go up a weight class in order to fight him. Silva is 6' 2", all limbs, and is very fast, powerful and accurate in his striking. Imo, in order for GSP to win it will have to be on the ground.

I would feel a lot better about this fight if Silva and GSP could meet halfway in weight. Silva would never agree to that though. He loves to keep his competitve edge. He has already refused to fight some fighters at 205, saying that they should go to 185 instead.

Gotcha. Like said, I don't know much about MMA and it sounds like you do. I could be wrong, but GSP is a hekk of a fighter.

Jon Jones is the real deal. 12-1, pretty much undefeated except for that disqualification in that fight against Hamil was his only loss. I think he'll win over Shogun. This kid has so much raw talent and skill. He is the future for 205.

Very true. GSP is considered by many to be the #1 pound for pound mma fighter in the world. Even if he loses to Anderson he will still be the #2.

I agree, he is amazing. I find it interesting that he has a similar build to Silva.

Jake Shields should give GSP a run for his money come UFC 129. Heck if he wins that, Shields can move up to 205 and take a shot at Silva as well.

Shields has run his mouth just like Serra, Penn, Fitch and Koscheck did and come UFC 129 will suffer the same ass kicking they all did.

GSP is my favourite fighter and I think Silva is a pompous ass, but if you don't think GSP is a huge underdog in that fight you're mistaken.
