Run..run.. pass.. punt pops. It's the RG3 and out way it seems. He lays more check downs than a waiter does pulling double shift. I'm not an RG3 hater I just hope their leach is a short one if he falters out the gate. Miami, St Louis and then re-evaluate. Throw pre-season out because it's sugar-coated. Two games to show that you're the man for the job. If we're 0-2 and he looks like the QB of last year then sit his ass down and put in KC to play against NY, Eagles and don't look back. RG3 has had his shot,, it's time to see what KC can do now that his jitter beginning is past him. (and don't pull him if he throws a GD pick),,, enough with the flip-floping QB merry-go-round. It's taking us nowhere. McCoy is a journeyman,,, a bonafied 2nd stringer. He's NOT gonna lead us anywhere but maybe 6,7 wins.

Cousins if above rings true has earned his 2nd chance. For the record, I truly hope RG3 lights it up and we kick ass.... just have serious doubts about his ability and lasting health. So yea,,, 91 plays after having a lead means we don't have leads often or we don't sustain drives... whatever QB is in there better get their shit in order. Tired of dis bo-shit.

I agree with most of what reptec said, with the exception being that our defense was so godawful-ly atrocious last year, that it's hard to place the blame on anything or anyone. Except Haslett. Yeah, Haslett was the cause of it all.

LOL!

Anyway, I think that now that we have a competent GM on hand, both sides of the ball will be better. Will it be 3-4 wins better this year? I'm going with, "no." But just like how the Seahawks were in every game they played in with Tavares Jackson at the helm (the year before they drafted Russel Wilson), it wouldn't surprise me if the redskins won 6 or seven games, and were competitive in all but say two of them.

What this has to do with RG3, I don't know. I think if he's asked to manage the offense for a game, that'd be ok. But sooner rather than later I agree with you - he's got to make some plays.

Just my .02

It just depends on how he looks. If he shows no improvement over the last 2 years and is making the same mistakes, then I'm with reptec, pull him and give KC a chance to improve. But if he has shown some growth and his mistakes are less frequent, then give him some more rope. By the first couple of games, we should know. I also agree that preseason can tell us something. I would give him plenty of playing time in preseason. Screw this one or 2 series crap. Play him at least a half in every game. He needs to reps and we need to see him lead the offense.

I know what you are saying with the play him a 1/2...and needing to see what he can do......however....

in the first games, playing him the first 1/2 accomplishes what as far as the competition he will be playing??....If you are playing him, you had better keep the Oline out to protect him, and his receivers, so he gets that time and reps you speak of...however, in doing that, they should destroy the competition as you can bet your ass, the other team wont have their starters in that long...so then what?? he makes plays against guys who wont be playing ball, because his offense is far superior to the defense??? He gets a feeling over confidence because of it...we as fan get that feeling?then when its for real and he faces NFL caliber players, we expect him to light it up?????

He will get plenty of reps in practice......it is what he does with those reps...how he approachs those reps...how he preforms in practice...proper drops...proper fundamentals...reading the field.....thats what he needs to be working hard on in practice so that when the game is real, he is more fully prepared mentally...

i am not sure you can play him 1/2 of every pre season game realistically . because it isnt fair to the other players at other positions trying to win a job .

No, I get it and was being a bit facetious. However, he does need reps with his offense no matter who the competition is. He needs to learn to read defenses at the line, he needs to learn to throw to a spot before the receiver makes his cut, and he needs to learn how to go through his progression. All of these reps make no real difference who the competition is. Playing 2 series in a preseason game is just not enough for him or the offense at this stage of their development.

I hope to God they don't pull the shit where Griffin starts pre-season game 1 and plays 2 series. Then Cousins starts game 2 and plays a quarter while McCoy comes in for relief the rest of the game. EF that. I guess and I hope since they have named Griffin the starter he will start every pre-season game. 2 series game 1, a quarter game 2, 3 quarters game 3 blah blah blah the usual. What an incredible year ahead of us. The drama surrounding how RG3 will play is theater at it's best. Well 2nd best. Cowboys losing is the best theater. Whose year will it be to win the east? Every year is different. Why not us.......... actually, don't answer that :-/

Im still not so sure. It really depends on how his training camp and preseason goes. If he still shows signs of struggling, I bet gruden plays him that last preseason game. I don't think traditional rules apply to Robert this year. This is really a make or break year for him.

you wont put him in there and get him injured by a walmart greeter . sorry that isnt happening . the 3rd preseason game could be very telling . if he ravens it like he did last season then we are in for a long season

if he does well at least he will be on track but unless jay gruden gets assured that he will get the time to develop Rg3 and the losses wont matter then the hook will be quick .

i cant see blowing 2 years on him if you only get 3 to make it work . he will need some long term security to stick with RG3

We will see. Actually, I hope it doesn't come to that. Hopefully he is making strides and gruden feels comfortable letting him sit that last game. I do agree that the leash is short. Maybe 4 games. If he is making the same mistakes and clearly holding the team back, gruden will yank him. I don't see gruden getting any assurances and probably doesn't deserve any. Just like Robert, he has to show improvement. As most of us know, this season isn't necessarily about wins and losses, but about preparing for the next few years when we should be refitted and prepared to make a run. Gruden needs to prove he can lead a reloaded team. Last year there where times when he didn't seem prepared for the job.

You know, Dad, in as much as we've all talked about SM' s evaluation of the players, I believe there remains a question relating to how he's evaluated J. Gruden. Remember, Gruden was not his choice, and that in time will be one of the keys in whether or not Gruden sees the end of his current contract.

well i think he has to let him coach a year or 2 to give him a fair shake. if he thought gruden was a total bust he would have let him go
