Parents living vicariously through their kids has been going on for a while. Being an attention whore to advance LaVar's agenda is part of that as well. He will say or do anything to get more attention as he sees the media forwarding that agenda. His son is a helluva player without him running his mouth. Sometime in the future his son will realize he can make it as an NBA player without his father's liability. I don't hold that against his kid so I don't hate on him. But I don't pull for him as a fan would knowing it aggrandizes his father when he does well. There's probably many who feel that way.
