I guess someone had to bit the bullet and pick James, not sure if there any Heat "fans" in this draft. I didn't puked but I'm a little disgusted with myself.

The biggest reason I wouldn't choose Kobe is because he doesn't share the ball which would be important on a all NBA great team.

Kobe never ran to someone else's team to win...

He didn't have to he was playing with an all time top 10 player. Maybe if his second best player was Mo Williams he might have felt differently. And that somebody else's team guy has been a shell of himself during these championships

I was very close to picking Tim Duncan but choose James. I think Duncan lagacy is better right now.

Who cares? If you wanna look at it right now outside of Lebron the spurs have a better team than the heat. Lebron is a much better rebounder defender a million times the passer and is more efficient than Kobe. After his game 6 ECF against Boston and his last two finals performances to not call him a winner is a joke

Hakeem is a closer call. Hakeem was actually only 6'10 though, and played some time at the 4 spot. Career averages:

Pts/game - Shaq
FG% - Shaq
Rebounds - same
Blocks - Hakeem (barely)
Titles - Shaq

Also, look at Win Shares Stats. Shaq is #1. Hakeem is #6.

I spent about 5 minutes debating if I was going to pick Shaq, Hakeem or Lebron. I ruled out Lebron pretty quickly.

The thing about Hakeem is that he has FT% by a large margin and Steals. Hakeem was really good at stealing. Those 2 factors led me to picking him even though Shaq was a bigger force. Shaq did have better numbers against Hakeem head to head but when it counted, Shaq just swept.
