Kittle set the all time NFL record for TE's in yardage....and much like DeFo on defense, that's with very little around him....plus he's an excellent blocker. A case can be made for all three - Kelce/Kittle/Ertz...but somebody has to lose out.
Something else to keep in mind is that Kittle had a practice squad qb throwing him the ball for most of the season

while Ertz had a phenomenal superstar throwing him the football for most of the season

Kelce led the league in TD's, and finished 2nd in all time yards for a season, behind Kittle...who is a better blocker than both and is surrounded by less talent than either. Somebody has to lose out if there are only 2 spots.

Buckner didn't make either 1st or 2nd. Solomon Thomas is playing out of position at end, and would be generally considered a bust because even when he's lined up inside, he's more of a run stopper than anything - hardly worthy of a 3rd overall pick.

Yeah... Ertz isn’t much of a blocker. Celek wasn’t early in his career and then became a fantastic blocking TE. Ertz is really just a big WR. Nice to see guys like Kittle are still around. Pretty fantastic that he can block and rip off two 80+ yard TD’s. Need to watch that kid more closely next year.
Too bad about Solomon. Scouts were raving about that guy. Never disliked the 49ers. Except around 89 when we were beating Montana’s ass and they guy turned into Jesus in the 4th quarter. Remember that game. They were pounding Montana for 3 quarters then BOOM... the GOAT.

this year’s AP voting results once again showed that at least a few of the 50 voters don’t watch the Steelers closely and probably haven’t for a few years. In the voting results I have added below, you’ll notice that in addition to DeCastro receiving 7 votes at the right guard position, he also received 2 votes at the left guard position. How is that even possible? DeCastro has played right guard his entire NFL career for the Steelers. On top of that, Ramon Foster played every single offensive snap this season at left guard. Last year, DeCastro received 3 votes at left guard. By the way, DeCastro didn’t give up a sack all season while Zack Martin of the Dallas Cowboys gave up 3. Both players missed two games as well. I’m not saying, I’m just saying.

Sucks to see your team's division rival with their 2nd year QB as the first team all-pro.
