I really hope they’re not trying to do a losing streak angle with FTR.
I honestly don't trust TK to handle it well. Wonder if it's something to do with the fact that they might leave next year and take a year off. I figure it's that or maybe even TYB could be behind it somehow (more of a conspiracy theory on that last one).Depending on how it goes, I think it could be ok.
That Acclaimed video, LMAO.
I'm scratching my head at Wardlow's booking. I thought the reasoning behind the triple threat match at Full Gear was to get the TNT belt off of him but have someone else take the loss. They've squandered his momentum. I feel like he's a rare wrestler who would be better off on the WWE roster. He has the look and athleticism to be a main event player there IMO
He's fine. The spot he's in right now is where he should be. They made him with the MJF story and then the TNT title reign, but he's not ready to be a main event guy yet. If they kept him on the same trajectory, the only place to take him would be the main event scene. And then what? He just flounders? Then you've done far more damage. It's been fine with what they've done. He's still over in a big way. Will still have stuff to do. And because of that, he can fairly easily be reheated when he's ready to move up the card.
He turns 35 in a couple weeks. This isn't necessarily a star of the future. He's in his prime. I would have kept him as strong as possible then struck while the iron is hot with a big win. Not necessarily a world title win but something important. He was just choked out in the middle of the ring in a sanctioned match. You can't really unsee that visual.
By today's standards, 35 is fairly young. You've got top guys in their mid 40s and 50s right now. It's not the worst thing in the world if he's in the main title scene at 37 instead of 35
Fun fact: The #1 merch seller on ProWrestlingTees for 2022 wasn't CM Punk, MJF, or The Elite.
It's Danhausen.
