Ventura and McHugh have been red hot after a questionable 1st half for each of them. Should be really interesting.

Ventura has been striking out 27% of batters since August 1st. He is going up against one of the most strikeout happy teams in baseball. Wouldn't be surprised to see another 10 K outing from him.

If Cueto dicks around again, I think everyone following the Royals is just going to have to shake their head. I don't blame them for trying, it just has been an inconsistent result at best. Similar story in Houston with Kazmir.

At least we didn't do something stupid like trade away a middle of the order bat such as Cespedes for him. I still think our package for Cueto was pretty weak, imo.

Tough to count the royals out though. Last year their rotation was probably worse than this and they made it to game 7 of the WS.

Now granted outside of bumgarner they faced 3 teams with pretty blah pitching staffs themselves and the Astros staff is far better then those teams as a whole.
