Alabama Basketball sucks so bad...

It's just shocking the decline that they have had. Grant's background is so solid (Donovan's top assistant for both titles and worked with him for over a decade, great run at VCU), but his guys just choked that away. No well-coached team should handle the press as poorly as they did at the end of the game. They gave it away and it doesn't seem like it was a fluke.

It wasn't a fluke, Grant has done a terrible job at Alabama. I was really hoping he would get fired after last season. I'm tired of the excuses and what ifs.

What is it with college teams? A team that's good in 1 sport (Alabama football) is not very good in another sport. Think efforts would be made to ensure both teams are competitive.

Why would anybody expect Alabama basketball to be any good?

Football rules there, the recruiting pool in the state is mediocre and who from another state wants to go to Alabama for school?

I can think of about 15 programs that should I would expect to have a much better mens BB program based on location and school resources before 'Bama.

THIS ^^^^ Bama is a football school 1st and foremost. I seriously doubt the school cares how the basketball program is doing, as long as football is winning NC's.

Texas is a football and baseball school first and foremost. Men's basketball comes in a distant 3rd, always has and always will.

Florida is definitely a 2 sport school we are closing in on a 3 sport with our baseball team
