This is one of the few (perhaps the only) real rational explanation for voting for Miggy. It's a good column.

Trout again hurt by where his team finished. But c'mon, Miggy had another incredible year. He led the majors in all three "slash" categories (.348 avg, .442 OBP, .636 SLG), plus led in OPS (1.078) and his OPS with runners in scoring position was a ridiculous 1.311. The man defined "clutch". His last injury-riddled month should not diminish how spectacular his first 5 months were.

I think I agree with Posnanski's piece - both had MVP years. I'm not bothered.
I do think that one thing that should be brought up is the article Posnanski wrote a year ago that said the Oakland A's had an internal WAR that concluded that Cabrera was ahead of Trout.
