after watching the way the astros played the sox, esp in game 4, nobody will beat them. those scrappy little suckers desire to win, going all out. dam "they" good..

Wont be easy, but I will say the Astros staff, both starters and BP are nowhere near the level of the Indians, so I wouldnt be surprised if the Yankee offense comes to life big time in this series

Starters are pretty close.

Give me JV and Keuchel right now.

Indians only threw 3 starters even. Depends what Stros get from Peacock and McCullers(whether he starts or relieves).

Astros also have a much better offense than the Indians.

You do realize they can't throw out Dallas and Justin every game right? I'm 100% sure Dirt was not speaking about those 2 guys in his comments. Their pen pitched a total of 2 innings after 2 games. Something tells me that change big time over the next 2 games

But they can throw them at least 4. So technically you gotta beat them eventually.

Indians obviously have the stronger pen tho. But if the Stros can keep it to basically Devenski and Giles as much as possible they will be ok

Think the Yankees win Game 3 but I think the Astros roll out Kuechel in Game 5 and Verlander for Game 6 if Game 6 is needed.

theres hope:suds:

John Farrell - C - Red Sox
The Athletic's Ken Rosenthal reports that Astros bench coach Alex Cora is the Red Sox' "top candidate" for their managerial vacancy.

Cora interviewed with Boston on Sunday with the Astros having an off day in between Game 2 and 3 of the ALCS. It appears that he's the favorite to replace John Farrell, although it likely won't be made official as long as Houston is playing. Cora's only managerial experience has been in winter ball in his native Puerto Rico.

I'd love Cora.

Into the Houston pen early....Still the 4th inning.

See what I meant with the bold comment from a few days ago now?

Eduardo Rodriguez just had knee surgery, so he'll be out at least six months. He may not be ready until June. Hanley also had shoulder surgery, but he should be ready for next season. It'll be interesting to see what they do about Brian Johnson now, especially since he has no options.

@bksballer89 @obxyankeefan great season for your yanks should be some great battles ahead for the best rivalry in sports:suds:

Yep next year should be really fun.

Toronto and Baltimore must hate their life right now. Missed a huge opportunity over the last 5 years when the Yanks were down. Now it is about to be like the good old days where the East is a 2 team race.
