Didn’t he miss like three years while in their farm system?
I don’t know much about his history but that makes sense. Kid is extremely talented but he is 26. I thought he was younger

He was pitching ridiculous. This just means some young guys likely to be called up now, maybe Cantillo.

Cursed

just unreal bad luck......

I suspect Bieber was trying to pitch through it- has good enough location and stuff- but the velocity was still only barely 91-92.....sad day.

I wonder if he will want to rehab and stay in Cleveland for the next couple years to get his stuff together and then hit free agency. I hope so.

freaking sign Trevor Bauer. Bring him back!

sucks so bad.

Looks like Strider has elbow issues now.

Did it seem like back in the day of like 90's baseball that these injuries happened like this? doesnt seem like it. I remember guys pitching years and years without injury. The Braves guys, RJ, Schilling, PEdro, etc. etc. i dont remember any one of them ever having TJ.

Yeah I doubt it after another lost season. He might not be ready for next season. I wonder if he would sign a one year deal and then CLE could trade him LOL

Who do they promote?

Obviously Espino is hurt- their best pitching prospect....their #2 pitching prospect Cantillo is hurt with a hamstring injury.....I would say in the short term it will be Xavion Curry while Ben Lively and Gavin Williams get back from injury.

Cole might be headed for TJ....STrider might be headed for TJ....Eury Perez is getting TJ....Bieber.....

I dont quite understand I guess why this is such an issue in current baseball with all the technology advances? IS that a cause? Guys throwing harder? I dont know...really I dont.

I would sign Bauer ina second.

For the lackluster hitting their pitching is making up for it. They can't do that all season but I said from the start it would be a struggle offensively. They will pick it up and if their pitching staff is one of the best they will compete for the division.

Like I said the real encouraging thing is the strikeouts.

Just 4 yesterday.

If they can keep that up their BABIP will move up. Right now it's 26th

It doesn’t make sense guys were built a different way but Nolan Ryan threw it 100+ and last 20+ years in the league. Plenty of guys back then were injury prone too but maybe we just see it more bc there is simply more talent. Seems like it is rare for a pitcher to have more than 4-5 year peak/prime before dropping off whether that is injuries or not

I know the Tigers signed these guys because of all the injuries the rotation has had.
