Who is our No.1 WR. Sure you think the more vet BM is still the number one, but will opposing Defenses gear up more on AJ then BM. I fully understand BM will be called the 1, but is he?

Marshall is number one, strictly upon consistency. Alshon had a lot of drops last year and other than 1 catch, ended with a dud. This is one hell of a conversation to be having. I'm guessing we'd be dumbfounded 3 years ago if someone said that this was something we'd be evaluating. But the same can be said if someone said we have the worst run D in the league/Bears history. Kind of like the Bizzaro episode of Seinfeld.

Just to clarify.

I think from a defensive stand point, they are both lethal and require help to the corners. Marshal has become more of the solid possession and redzone type WR, and Alshon is proven to be a deep threat and catch over the coverage. Alshon and Marshal are basically equal in ability to perform within the system right now, just in different ways..

BM is still the most reliable and consistent receiver we have. That may change soon, but he still garners the most attention from opposing defenses.

As mentioned, Alshon was just as productive as Brandon was this season. Just in a different way. He's more of the big play/deep threat. Not that isn't physical and doesn't make tough catches over the middle.

It doesn't get much better than these two. IMO, Marshall is a hall of famer... and Alshon has all of the potential to get to that level as well.

Karma seems to finally being kind to us on the offensive side of the football. This ALMOST makes up for the half of century that we went without having any real talent on the outside. (Okay, Marty Booker for two years, but eh... F off. He had Jim Miller and Chris Chandler throwing to him).

Who fucking cares who is called the number 1 wr? We haven't had 2 receivers likes this .....EVER!!!!!!!!!! Its obvious tough that Marshall is #1. For us fans they are both number 1 and we need to have them on the field every game at 100%

I'm not asking who the fans think is our 1, but who draws the coverage of a No.1 WR from the other teams defenses.

They are the only two sets of Bears offensive players to have multible WRs over 1000 yards. Kramer had 4000+ yards that year. Besides I was jesting.

Depends on the situation i think. Primarily it would be Marshal i think, but not every team is going to adjust their defense to one receiver, especially with two that are this good. Both corners are going to be getting help either way, especially on passing downs. I get what youre asking, but not many defenses have one db that can "shut down" cover either guy.

Bottom line is theyre both matchup nightmares for defenders. Defenses cant roll coverage both ways, so its really "pick your poison".

Conway had a couple of good years here, but wasn't near the receiver AJ or Marshall are. He never made a pro bowl either. IMO, Booker in 2001 and 02 is the only guy who compares.

Ya I was being sarcastic with the Conway Gram Kramer comparison. I guess that was not clear in my response. Lol. Sorry.

So apparently what could be a great debate to have, can't be had as there is no real answer. Well it's still great to not debate because we have two of the best.

I always liked Willie Gault, but i dont see how you can compare any WRs that i know of, with what we have now. Even if we only had either/or, there isnt anyone close to Marshal or Alshon. Even though Jeffry hasnt been doing it that long, he's been a monster, and should get better barring injury. With Jay signing, i think they keep these guys too, and have a solid core for a few years.

Do you guys think you will be able to keep both of them? Marshall is up after next season and Jeffrey is up the following year correct?
