HE WOULD BE PERFECT with BGE! Hue call him up and give him the 3.75 NYG cut him for..... On PFT
He isn't an upgrade over anything we have.
Pass on drafting a back, unless you find one that is good at catching out of the backfield...and that in the 4th round or later.
We have too many other holes to waste a high pick on a RB.
As for Bradshaw. Pass.
Who would you like to line up at running back? We have a limited quarterback, no proven second receiver, a shitty tight end and a feature back that averages around 3.5 yards per carry. We know we aren't drafting a new tight end.... We know we aren't drafting another receiver.... My point is that we need another playmaker on offense. While I normally don't advocate high picks on running backs, I think this is a good time to do it.
If I simply want to change personnel, I'm combing through FA. If I want an improved running attack, I bolster the o-line.
I am not enamored with BJGE. I hated the acquisition last season. But there's no denying that when he was given room to work with (against worse competition), he ran/played well - thought he did run well against Houston also. While I'm not a fan of his lack of speed, he wasn't close to the biggest problem in the running game. The biggest problems were the lack of holes and respect for the passing game. I'm not a fan of wasting a high pick on a RB only to have the same problems. We have too many other needs for what might be a marginal improvement in the running game.
I would favor drafting a quick guy in the later rounds to compliment BJGE though.
1) It's not as big a need as other positions, so yes I'd rather have our scouting staff take a whiff on a RB in the later rounds than any other position.
2) Also, the likelihood of hitting on a RB in the later rounds is much higher than hitting on any other position in the later rounds.
