Yes I know we should bask in it for a few more minutes,

But looking forward week 5 isnt looking to kind to any one but the Gnats who have the 49ers at home.

We travel to Atlanta and the Falcons are a hot team at the moment.

Dallas hosts Tom Brady and the Patricheats.

And Philly.... Well they host the Saints in what I expect to be a shoot out from the word go.

If not for the Falcons looking hot at the moment, and the Niners looking like birthday cake, I would actually feel comfortable that the Division would stay even next week.

I will be at the game in Atlanta - looking forward to it although I am not expecting a win since IMO the Falcons look like one of the best teams in the NFL at the current time.

At this time I am happy that the Redskins are showing true progress (along with some expected issues along the way). I would just caution fans to not get to excited to the pt where they will badmouth this team if some issues show up moving forward. I am expecting some good things with this team but being realistic to the pt where I know that this team still has holes that will take a few years to fill.

Every game on our schedule is winnable except for this one and the Pats. Very possible that we can go 10-6 this year. It should end up being the Giants at 3-2 Dallas 2-3 Skins 2-3 and Eagles 2-3 at the end of Week 5. I gave the Eagles the advantage b/c they are at home.

i still say we are a 6 win team but we have a chance in every game except the Pats

we have a defense that can play well and our offense can too . its just our special teams and youth that kill us

This week against the Falcons is going to be real tough and not sure we can win this game. They are very stout against the run. Not so much against the pass. But their offense racks up the yards and points. IF we get into a shoot out, we will not win. With our depleted secondary, I see the Falcons throwing at will against us. Our only hope is if we can generate a good pass rush and cause some turnovers. On offense, we have got to own the time of possession, just like we have been. That is going to require us to run the ball. Expect them to stack the box and force Cousins to beat them.

hold your horses Dean ... time for a reality check

we've won 2 games against teams with bad o-lines ... who thought so little of their quarterback that they swapped.

We've lost to one average quarterback

AND ... the skins looked pity-the-fool vs Eli ... who is a top 15 QB on a good day ?

sure, we can win 10 games ... just as long as we continue to play rookie o-lines with bottom tier QBs, lol

Yep - the remaining schedule includes games outside the division against likely playoff contenders in the Pats, Falcons, Panthers & Jets. It also includes a return match against the Giants & 2 games against the Cowboys when they possibly return most of their injured players. That is 7 games where a loss is very possible. The games against the Bills, Saints & yes even Eagles are iffy. Let's not get too carried away. Team progress is still one of the bigger, more realistic goals.

Now if they were to somehow magically beat the Falcons you might need to revise the projections going forward. That will be very, very tough.

I'm close with you on this one Skinsdad, but I think 7-8 wins. You know how things can change in this league every week with injuries and such. If the Redskins win on Sunday 6-10 could go easily go to 10-6.

krush the Rams just beat the Cards so our win against the Rams was huge. We can lose to the Falcons on Sunday and still go 10-6. Our offense will be a hell of a lot better when Jackson comes back.

the addition of Jackson & his 100 yards is now negated by the loss of Reed & his 70 yards per

but, the offense really is not my concern.

I doubt the ability of our secondary to stop teams from putting up 35+

Disagree. Jackson is more important than Reed...and I love Reed and can't stand DJ.

I would say they are equally important. They provide different advantages to the offense. DJax adds explosion and the chance at a TD on one play. Reed provides the ability to move chains. If Reed stays healthy he is top 5 and maybe top 3 TE. Sadly he just doesn't seem to be able to stay healthy.

DJ can stretch the field though which takes safety coverage with him opening the chain mover and pressure off Garcon. The threat of DJ makes people around him better.

Yeah the Falcons are hot right now, but they can very well be beat..they had to comeback from 10 behind to beat the Giants and as much as I hate the Cowboys, they beat a Cowboys team without Tony Romo or Dez Bryant. If the Cowboys had Romo and Bryant the Falcons probably would not have beaten the Cowboys.
